Computer basics

Everything you need to know about using your computer and your phone before you meet Claude.

This part assumes you have never used a computer. It starts with the power button and ends with getting a screenshot from your phone onto your computer. The steps match the computer you chose, a Mac or a Windows PC, and the phone you chose. Each step has a short practice task, and nothing you do here can break anything.

If you already use your computer every day, read the goal at the top of each step. If it is already true for you, skim the step and mark it done.
