Part 16 Full guide

Grow your app

Free trials with a reminder before they end, a free launch period you can switch off, invite rewards, creator codes, notifications and emails people want, a What's new screen, ratings, finding your first customers by hand, and adding features safely after launch.

Your app can take money. This part is about the people who will pay it: how they try the app, how they hear about it, how it talks to them afterwards, and how it keeps getting better without breaking. Every step here comes from a real launch, including the parts that went wrong: a reward that could be given twice, invite links that quietly lost their code, notifications nobody had turned on, and a legal page that still described last month's app.

The first four steps are about giving: trials, a free launch period, invite rewards and creator codes. Each is a real plan or a server switch, never a code that unlocks something, because the stores forbid that. The next four are about talking: notifications, emails, a What's new screen and ratings, all asked for at the right moment and never from people's private data. The last two are about work: finding your first customers by hand, honestly, and keeping the same safe habits from Part 7 (work safely) when you add features after launch. Pick the steps your app needs; the trial and the free-launch switch come first if you plan to charge.
